South Africa

A beautiful country, best known for its wonderful wines, stunning topography, including of course the spectacular Table Mountain and Cape Town’s legendary garden route as well as wonderful safaris in places such as Kruger and Sabi Sands on top of about 9000 game reserves; South Africa has something for everyone.

Given the amount to do in South Africa, many opt to combine a wine tasting tour with some safari time. Sabi Sands offers some wonderful options. It is one of most famous private game reserves, situated on the edges of Kruger’s National Park with no fences between them meaning wildlife roams around freely. Sabi Sands is well-known for the Big Five (the name given to the five animals considered hardest to hunt by game hunters) as well as its leopard sightings. Another big advantage to Sabi Sands is the ability to drive off road, something forbidden in Kruger, so this means you can follow the sighting into the bush etc.

There are both extremely upmarket, luxurious lodges situated there as well as more affordable options.

And a trip to Cape Town and to the wonderful vineyards, as well as following the Garden. Route is a great way to spend the rest of your trip, relaxing, wine tasting, enjoying the beautiful scenery and getting to know this fascinating country which is still in its infancy.
