Uganda:
The Pearl of Africa
Uganda is most famous for its gorillas. It is home to twenty species of primates including, of course, the gorillas, but also chimpanzees, monkeys and bushbabies and has the highest density of primates worldwide. This is the primary reason people come to Uganda.
But it is also a stunning country, with beautiful mountainous views to drink in at every opportunity. Indeed, about 23% of Uganda is reserved for wildlife which helps maintain the green blanket look for which it is so well-known. Uganda is where the western rainforests meet with East Africa’s Savannah plains.
There are over fifty tribes and Ugandans are an exuberant and inviting people with a very young population (about 77% of its population of 45 million is under the age of 25).
There are also far fewer tourists in Uganda which again makes it an inviting choice for those looking to get away from it all. And if you are interested in combining with another country or two, then we would suggest a Kenyan/Ugandan trip would make for a perfect combination.

*Please note, that due to the the permits required to spend time with the gorillas, you should contact us as early as possible in the planning process, at least 6 months in advance, but the further ahead the better.
